Phoenix-based rapper and advocate for inner-city youth Sir Will released a powerful new anthem that delivers an important message on self-love while remaining lighthearted and comedic on the surface. His new single “Weight Up” urges everyone to invest in themselves and go the extra mile to reach new heights of greatness.
“Weight Up” pairs Sir Will’s suckerpunch vocals with thumping bass and West Coast inspired sonics. LA Reid’s son, Antonio Reid Jr., put together West Coast producer Rhythm D and the Billboard Award winning Bobby Keyz of the Loopholes to create Sir Will’s notorious explosive sound.
The music video for “Weight Up” follows Sir Will as he explores the many ways to “get your weight up” by pumping iron at the gym, buying out the shoe store, and indulging on a full menu feast at dinner with his high class date. Sir Will keeps it light and comedic as he raps, “The inside of my whip, more buttons than Bruce Wayne.” The song is an indulgent anthem that brings fresh energy and a dose of nostalgia for a timeless escape.
Outside of music, Sir Will is a dedicated advocate for inner-city youth and works hard to educate the community on financial literacy. He has worked alongside icons such as Judge Da Boss, Drumma Boy, and Battlecat and is expected to have more collaborations with Rhythm D.
