It follows the success of their previous single “Following The Sun” with Neeka, which found itself on charts around the globe. ‘Told You So” is the result of the pair’s creative ability- it’s an indie-dance track that’s feathered with acoustic guitars and funky bass lines. Rich vocal performances take the center stage within this track, giving rise to feelings of good times and being free.
The track is about a journey that takes you to a specific destination “to write awesome things about things that are awesome (to steal a Chris Martin sentiment). ‘Following The Sun’ was all about a journey and ‘Told You So’ is all about the destination.
