Vancouver musician Aridonis explores the feeling of thinking you’re never good enough on alt-pop single “Hard Mode,” as his soaring vocals rest over a textured electronic soundscape of crunchy guitars and catchy beats.
Rooted in the DIY sensibilities that stretch through his genre-hopping catalogue of music, the track captures feelings of inadequacies that most of us experience throughout life, encouraging us to take a moment to push past these negativities and embrace our true selves with confidence.
Led by his penchant for penning honest commentaries of life, “Hard Mode,” is a down-to-earth but hopeful exploration of human emotions as he continues his trend of expressing the hard parts of life through the warmth of his sonics which shifts seamlessly from introspective bedroom pop to dancefloor indie rock.
Having built a career playing and producing music for other bands under the name A.J. Buckley, but in late 2019 he embraced his real name as his musical identity, releasing music explorations of his fight with cancer as a teenager as well as the depression and struggles that followed. Never looking back as he crafted an expanse of self-produced songs, Aridonis continues to establish himself with pensive and positive sonic creations.
