Seattle-based DJ and producer Tony H is a multifaceted artist who has made a name for himself as one of the most exciting artists in the house music scene. Whether in his role as label manager as Space Yacht, Label CEO for his very own underground imprint Late Night Munchies, writing sensational music or performing at the top clubs in the country, Tony has solidified his position as a significant figure in the music industry, excelling as both a creator and a curator
He’s had a massive year so far, playing the Unlearn:Records and Deep Tech showcases during Miami Music Week, as well as Weekend 1 at the Heineken House at Coachella. He has also been a direct support for Cloonee, Gene Farris, Blossom, and Mau P at various venues in Seattle. Tony has plenty exciting shows looming, including a headlining performance at The Old Miami in Detroit for the Movement Pre-Party, as well as appearances at Alaska’s Sundown Solstice Festival and Insomniac’s Beyond Wonderland at The Gorge in June.
Now, Tony is continuing his momentum with his latest EP ‘Pulse It‘, signed to Gene Farris’s prestigious imprint, Farris Wheel Recordings. The title track is a groove filled, irresistible heater featuring sounds and samples mimicking hospital noises and pulses. The creativity is backed by an electrifying arrangement with crisp drum rhythms and thumping bass line that excels at making you feel the track’s energy.
The collaborative b-side track “Body Drop” with AMP showcases a fusion of G house and tech house, featuring a lively bass line and captivating vocal samples that make it the perfect peak-time dance floor heater. Yet again, Tony demonstrates his skillful ability to combine diverse sounds and genres, providing both his loyal fans and newcomers with a remarkable and innovative record.
“Pulse It was a track I made on my twitch stream, initially just for fun because people wanted to watch me produce a track in real time. After an 8 hour stream and going through multiple ideas, we landed on an idea with some help from viewers like Mz TzA and Matt G that involved many hospital sounds and samples. As someone who has been streaming on Twitch since the beginning of the pandemic, it’s given me a place to not only connect with the Twitch community and close friends but also allows for so many candid and fun moments and a place for me to create and test out so many IDs. Getting this one signed is HUGE because I’ve been a fan of Gene Farris and Farris Wheel Recording for so long and have been working for a long time to be a part of such a legendary label.” – Tony H
