95Bones showcases a brilliant electronic range on latest EP, 'BAM003'

95Bones blends influences from early NY Rave House, Acid, Breaks and UKG on his latest release, brought to you via Body Action Music. All killer no filler, the entire EP was made with moody basements in mind — and with a portion of proceeds going to Stonewall Housing, there’s absolutely no reason not to get right behind this one.

Opener “Bayonet Cap” offers squelching acid lines and a heavy drum workout to get the energy flowing. Immensely pressurised, it’s a track that’s going to cause serious damage on the dancefloor. Chunky bass contrasts against euphoric melodies to bring us a track that confuses the emotions; unsure whether we’re feeling nostalgic, or pulling out the gunfingers, there’s no complaints either way. “Bugs On The Floor” brings a bassier flavour to the table, full to the brim with wobbles, breaks and plenty of controlled chaos. Airy synths offer a moment above water, before you’re plunged back in the subaquatic realm. Made for a big soundsystem, the UKG influences shine through strong in this one.

“Queen Romney” quickly switches to a 4/4 rhythm, with oldskool vocals taking centre stage. Upbeat, quirky and still somehow not out of place on the EP, it’s giving big warehouse vibes. Changing things up once again, 95Bones draws the EP to a close with “Dutch Country,” another track with potent acid touches. Bridging the gaps between bass, acid and electro, there’s no messing about here. Heavy breaks and mean squelches lend themselves to the track perfectly, showcasing his ear for bangers of all genres.
