Flip Major releases new album ‘Hardly Ever Sober’

LA-based act Flip Major closes out 2020 with a new 10-track body of work titled Hardly Ever Sober. The project is an all-around treat for lovers of that classic West Coast summer bounce and Major delivers it in abundance. Bolstered by booming production from producers like K.Y, Audio King, Steelz, BeatBoy, Dnyc3, Contraband, and Nabeyin, the releases panders to Major’s carefree flow and autotuned melodic raps.

Flip Major · Hardly Ever Sober

Flip Major starts off with no hesitation with the vibrant synth-driven opener “Bounce” and just as the title suggests it implores listeners to get their groove on. The party doesn’t seem to end for the West Coast act who teams up with Compton’s Azjah on the vibrant “Show Out” that dives into the lives of true ballers. Other joints like “Body Suit” and “Rain Man” is Major in his true element of having fun, frolicking with gorgeous dames, and sipping on the finest liquor money can buy. On the latter, he laments on having to deal with naysayers and haters but all he really wants is to live his life to the fullest but then who can blame him. The project ends with the reflective “How I Live”  that details (albeit to a small degree) Flip Major’s life in the summary and the pimped out “Sold Not Told” featuring Trizz.

Hardly Ever Sober sort of lives up to its name and delivers a plethora of upbeat west coast style party jams riddled with absolute revelry and somewhat catchy hooks. This one is for those who just want to have fun and nothing else.
