Fredy V & The Foundation are "On The Rise"

Montreal-based powerhouse R&B  and Funk group  Fredy V & The Foundation share their new single "On The Rise." The upbeat anthem marks the 1-year anniversary of their debut studio recording and serves as a motivational mantra for the group members as they regain their footing in this post-pandemic era. Frontman Fredy V sets the tone with his melodic and honest raps which he delivered with an austere demeanor as he details his self-development journey and renewed inspiration. The track hits the crescendo on the chorus section with the aid of Mel Pacifico who cements the theme of the song with lines like " hop on the train if you wanna but don't you get in my way" and truly cements the go-getter mindset of the band. Backed by lush synths provided by bandmember Cauldie, funky guitar riffs from Fredy V himself, and an undeniable drum groove to solidify the sound, the band delivers a blend of the old and new that listeners can relate and vibe to simultaneously.

The Foundation is a collection of highly skilled musicians who are time-tested veterans in Montreal live performance science. The genre-bending group has played with Montreal's top international r&b, hip hop, funk, gospel, and jazz acts but started as the backing band for singer-songwriter and guitarist Fredy V. Recently they decided to join forces as a recording band and thus Fredy V & The Foundation was birthed.
