WheelUP connected with fellow labelmate and emerging artist Tiawa in this new single “Take Me Higher.” The duo turn down the tempo on this new offering and opt for a more introspective and soulful mood. For this track, WheelUP also recruits the talents of Nathan “Tugg” Curran —a session drummer for the likes of Basement Jaxx, Elton John, Kano, and forms part of WheelUP’s live setup.
In between mid-tempo two-step drum breaks, warm keys, and somber pulsating synths, the multi-talented act Tiawa does it all. From her silky honeyed melodic runs to spitting insightful bars, she details the journey to self-realization by going out of one’s comfort zone.
“Take Me Higher” is taken from WheelUP’s forthcoming debut album Good Love, the project boasts features from Afronaut, Bembe Segue, Roberto Roena & more.
