Brampton R&B-soul talent Zenesoul (pronounced ‘Zen-Soul’) shares the video for her song “That Love,” taken from her recently released EP, Brown Sugar. The track is Zenesoul in her most vulnerable moment as she opens up about finding the perfect love and basking in the euphoria. The mesmorizing singer brings to the forefront a girl next door with an edgy vibe as she unapologetically states what she wants over the warm punchy instrumentation laid before her. Taking cues from her love for soul, R&B, and neo-soul, she gives an enthralling performance ripe with emotion-driven melodic runs and heartwarming lyrics to match.
The visual plays out in progression form as it follows Zenesoul and her man through various stages of their relationship. It makes use of cinematic shots of the pair with less focus on performance shots of her singing, which for the most part works perfectly. The theme of the song is the perfect love so viewers get to see just that.
Zenesoul is a Canadian/Nigerian soul artist who has been building her stats. She already has 3 EPs, WORTH and Coffee under her belt with Brown Sugar being the third.
