On his latest release, the Illinois wordsmith strings together butter smooth flows atop an engaging, laid-back soundscape provided by Pilotkid.
Opener “thebreakers” creates a lush, reflective soundscape, apt for Svm’s luxurious lyricism and soothing, near-whispering delivery. “pradaponcho”‘s relaxed, warm guitars and smooth flows make for an evocative cut, while “bassethound”‘s rich grooves and hypnotic melodies mesmerize. Closer “skintight” takes on nocturnal sonics with raw, mellow instrumentation and descriptive, vivid lyricism from Svm that puts his pen game on display.
