Canadian crooner Gotti Banxx turns in his engaging new EP, ‘Very Special’

It’s time to give credit where it’s due and start acknowledging Canada as the home of the crooners. The evidence has gotten overwhelming now as voices like Tory Lanez, River Tiber, PARTYNEXTDOOR and more have hailed from the country—and that’s without mentioning the obvious heavyweights like The Weeknd, Justin Bieber and Drake. With that kind of resume, every A&R in the world should be flocking to Toronto, Quebec, Montreal among many. Hailing from the latter, rising singer Gotti Banxx is looking to become next in that line, as he unveils his debut EP, Very Special.

At 7-tracks, Very Special, is at a perfect length for the type of content it provides. Set to the tone of a young man looking to syphon through the B.S., Banxx utilizes the project to showcase his impressive pen as well as his knack for staying in the right melodic pocket. As a young artist, it could be easy for him, or anybody else, to experiment with their sounds. Instead, on songs like, “See You Later,” he proves his poise, as he stays in pocket and delivers one of the project’s best records.

Other standouts from the EP include, “Up All Night,” and, “Sometimes.” At 100k plays, “Sometimes,” is currently Banxx’s second biggest song, but it shows him at his best. Using the Rincon Rawbone production to let his pen bleed, this is without a doubt Gotti Banxx at his best and should evidence the future of his sound.

With his buzz starting to build on the net, it should be no time before the Canadian-born singer starts to reach the masses. Make sure you listen to his debut EP below and get familiar with Gotti Banxx.
