Milly Roze is a Nashville-raised musician with Korean, African American, and American heritage who started learning the piano at age 5 and proceeded to study audio production/engineering to enhance her musical skills. Her latest single “Ninety Five” is a self-produced collaboration with Bryce Green.
Written by both artists, the song is a love ballad ripe with sultry melodic runs and airy atmospheric textures laced with sparse punchy drums. Milly sets it off with layered vocal runs ripe with evocative lyrics about true love and being a ride or die for her partner. This is followed by Bryce’s commanding vocals that add a different flavour to the mix.
On the production tip, Milly sure gets the job done with a mix of moody and haunting synths, thick bass lines and drums that rise to a plateau as the song progresses. The outro is worth checking out too as Milly switches the vibe with multilayered harmonies and key changes.
