The Letter M unleashes his adventurous new video for “Statement”

In music, messages can often go unheard or misconstrued due a number of factors, with the most common being that the message is wrapped in a creative package that might be hard for mortals to understand. While those are also necessary, sometimes the messages needs to be spelled out aggressively in our faces. Hailing from Stone Mountain, Georgia, this is where The Letter M comes in, as he harnesses his unmistakable energy to give it to us straight in his new video, “Statement.”

Produced by Diamond Beats and Chris G, “Statement,” is a thrilling record that highly relies on energy and potent lyricism. Speaking on topics such as corrupt politics, racism, the abuse of women and more, he takes on a hostile tone as he eagerly takes on each one of these categories with anger and a sense of concern. “We don’t take pu**y, f**k a rapist. I want smoke, even if they laced it,” rhymes M on the opening verse, keeping that chaotic, yet necessary, energy throughout the record. Couple all of that with one of the best independently produced videos to be released so far this year, “Statement,” has the merit to further push The Letter M to the masses.
